Give Your Stuff *

Toys  We accept new or gently used items for ages 1-20 years old.  Please make sure that used items are clean and that the batteries are operating or include a set of batteries with new toys.  Used sets of toys with multiple pieces need to be contained in a single bag.   We will accept stuffed animals in “like new” condition from pet free homes.

Books  We need books for ages 1-20 in new or gently used condition.  We also need activity books (crossword puzzles, soduko, etc.), new, unused coloring books, journals and address books.

Duffle Bags, Backpacks & Small Rolling Suitcases  We accept donations of  new or gently used bags.  Many of the children living in foster care were removed with little more then a trash bag to hold the few belongings they may have taken with them.  We believe that every child deserves the dignity to own a bag, look under your bed and in your closets and donate!

Other Stuff  Just a few ideas: Batteries (we use LOTS of AA and AAA batteries), Gift Bags (new or used) for creating the care packages, new crayons, picture frames, photo albums “walkman” type headsets, unopened toiletries, new perfume samples, new unused hotel size shampoo & conditioners, etc.  You get the idea! 

New or Used - Do whatever feels right to you!  Although the idea behind GiveWhatYouGot.org is to recycle and repurpose things we have in our homes, we will happily accept your donation of new items - do whatever works with your budget!

*we make every effort to use every item donated.  when item is too large, in poor condition or not appropriate, we may dispose of or recycle the item to other charities.
