About the Founders

We are moms just like you; we have busy schedules, kids to shuttle around, diapers to change and mortgages to pay.  Our kids are loved by many and given tons of stuff.  As parents, we are forever looking for ways to teach our kids that there are others out there that aren’t so lucky.  We were inspired to create this project to help the thousands of children in the foster care system right here in our own community.

Our Giving Mantra:

Give, we just don’t want your money!

Give, after all, isn’t that clutter burdening your soul?

Give, yes, it’s time to get out of your comfort zone.

Give, believe it or not, you have more then you need!

Give, your kids will thank you for it one day.

In 2009, our efforts were recognized by Cornerstones of Care, a Kansas City based organization that provides services to more than 2,000 children and families daily. On May 15th, GiveWhatYouGot became a program of Cornerstones of Care and under their umbrella, a 501c(3) non-profit agency.
